Technology or Family?
In Ray Bradbury short story , "The Veldt," there is a family conformed of four person that lived on a futuristic house the house made everything for them it even brush their teeth. But on this house there was a strange room called The Nursery. On the nursery they are walls with images that heir child's think but its very rare know the guys were only thinking of Africa and the nursery was too real so he parents closed it. The child's were so mad that they wished there parents dead. That night her mother heard screams on the nursery and went running to see but when they both enter the door closed and they were eaten by the lions of Africa. After that their child's were alone on this very technological house.
On the next example of imagery Bradbury makes us know what the characters feels.
"The hot straw smell of lion grass, the cool green smell of hidden waterhole the great rusty smell of animals, the smell of dust like a red paprika in the hot air.
This quote help us picture in our heads how was like Africa on the Savannah. It transmits us that information trough the sense of smell because he describes what the character is smelling.
Another thing on the story is this characterization qute hat helps us think what is the character like what he thinks or do.
"George, I wish you'd look at the nursery." "Whats wrong with it?" "I don't know" " I just want you to look at it, is all, or call a psychologist to look at it."
This quote is helping us picture the character for me its explaining that she is a little nervous and that also she is a protective mother, she wants her children to be safe at the nursery.
To close up this story told me that technology is ruined children minds and also its making like a family for the kids and they will not pay attention to her family.
